Peace like you've never known
So recently at work, I had a little down time and really started thinking about New Year's Resolutions. I'm pretty sure I make them every year, but can't recall what my goals have been in the past years. One of my resolutions this year is to start a blog, so here it is, 2 weeks early....just a little head start.
My goal with this blog is to be able to journal some of the things happening in mine and Daniel's life, to be able to put down goals and see them marked off, and to have something I can look back on in 10 years and laugh at. Believe me, in the 5 months Dan and I have been married, we've had some pretty good stories to laugh at. If we can happen to inspire or lift anyone up along the way, it would be all the better. I have one friend in particular that really inspires me with her blog :)
The title of this blog comes from the new song by Third Day, "Follow Me There"
Where love, like a river, flows
Peace like you've never known
And joy never ending lives
A place where faith can find
Hope that will never die
Follow me there, come on, follow me there
This past year alone Daniel and I have had many devastating and heartbreaking events take place. But in the same exact year we have had some of the best things in life happen to us. I hope to document some of the things we go through as individuals and as a couple this year and to be able to give all the glory back to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Because just like He is the reason for this season, He is also the reason we can make it through this life :)
Speaking of the Season, we had our first Christmas shin-dig at our house last night, and it was wonderful! It was my side of the family (mom & rick, tiff & tim, the nephews, and my step-mom). All of us have had our down moments this year missing my daddy-O like crazy but we all pulled together to start a new tradition. We had a Feliz Navidad themed Christmas party complete with all the mexican food, because we all know how easy it is to get burned out of ham and turkey this time of year. It was so much fun, I love to cook and entertain and I love having family all together!! Huge Success :) Anyways, until next time..........
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
